Yesterday was the first day of my long-awaited leave. For some reason, i woke up as early as 7am, but i was feeling all refreshed and energised! Did a simple, quick manicure too ^-^ My mood was good, but it died down a little, thanks to the freaking weather (which is why i am seriously considering migration).
I have been looking forward to my meatball date at Ikea. Initially, i thought that it wouldnt be as crowded on weekdays, but apparently i was wrong. The place was kinda packed when we arrived, at about 2pm. Two weeks waiting for this was not in vain - the meatballs were awesome! Not to mention the yummy-licious clam chowder soup ^-^
Due to "great minds thinking alike", we cabbed to Tampines Mall & got tix for X-Men at 5pm. Since we had a lil time on our hands before the movie started, we walked into Toys'R'Us, a store i havent been in since ages ago. As i walked down the aisle with the racks packed with toys, i wonder will be the next time i step in this store again - perhaps when i am shopping for my own baby? :p
X-Men was awesome in my opinion, just like how the reviews said it to be. My next movie - Edge of Tomorrow ^-^
Anddddd.... ! I kinda forgot how good Haagen-Dazs tasted. It was h-e-a-v-e-n-l-y! Just love the feel of the sugar rush in my veins! Butbutbut, they didnt have the Belgian chocolate flavour, and that left me craving for more sugar :(
And so, he went to take his car and drove me home to wash up a lil, then we bought half a pint of Haagen Dazs ice cream from 7-eleven. It wasnt until we got to Mcdonalds that silly him realised he didnt get the change from the cashier when he made payment at the convenience store. Looking at how worried his face was, i tried to re-assure him that everything will be okay. Indeed, as how things always turn out to be, the cashier returned him the change. -Thank God-
The breathtaking scene at some place i didnt even know about in my past 24 years - planes taking flight, the sound of waves beating against the shore & a dark nightsky dabbled with lil sparkling stars, gives me the calm and inner peace that i have never found before. I really love that place. Thank you so much for sharing this place with me, and now its even more special to me ♥
